We are working on proposals to change the BAFF Constitution.

This will mean discontinuing the formal company registration to save costs, following an increased quote from the company secretaries for producing the accounts etc and providing the registered company office.

We will convert to an unincorporated association, mirroring the current constitution as much as possible.

Because an unincorporated association cannot own property (in our case mainly intellectual property) directly, it will be necessary to transfer all rights to trustees who will hold the property on behalf of the members.

There are no significant funds to transfer; the final account of the company secretaries will be met by donation by one or more of the proposed trustees.

We have also been working to upgrade the website, particularly the membership joining system, and a new blog and comments system.
