Armed Forces Redundancy Scheme - Tranche 2 to be announced 17 Jan 2012

It has now been confirmed that Tranche 2 of the Armed Forces Redundancy Programme for all three Services will be announced on 17 January 2012 in single Service notifications (DINs).

Tranche 2 will be the last tranche of redundancies for the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force, although a "very small" number of further RN and RAF redundancies may be required thereafter.
Each single-service DIN will include details of the fields from which selection will be made and therefore applicants for consideration will be sought. The window for applications for compulsory redundancy will open on 17 January 2012 and close on 28 February 2012.
Notifications of redundancy will be issued on 12 June 2012, from when applicants who are selected will serve up to 6 months' notice before leaving the armed forces, and non-applicants up to 12 months' notice. Anyone who wishes to leave earlier may apply to do so.
For more info see DIB 102/11.

Welcome to British Armed Forces Federation - BAFF - independent all-ranks staff association for members of any branch of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, British Army and Royal Air Force, including the reserves. All current UK service personnel of any rank are eligible to join and, as BAFF is not a political organisation, to take an active part in its activities if they wish. Former regular or reserve forces personnel are also very welcome.
