Future Reserves 2020 (FR20) Study announced 01 December 2010

The Review of the Reserves focus has morphed into a new study entitles 'Future Reserves 2020' (FR20). This is from the British Army website:

As part of the SDSR announcement on 19 October 2010, the Prime Minister commissioned a six-month study into the future role and structure of the Reserves to ensure the most efficient use Reservists to meet the UK's operational requirements for future conflict.

The Reserves review work has now been entitled the 'Future Reserves 2020 (FR20) Study', demonstrating the inseparable link between the UK's Reserves and the whole of UK Armed Forces force structure which Defence aims to deliver for the 2020s, namely Future Force 2020 (FF20).

The Prime Minister has taken a personal interest in the Reserves and the Study will report to him through the Secretary of State for Defence. General Sir Nick Houghton, Vice Chief of the Defence Staff (VCDS) will lead the Study, with Julian Brazier MP as his deputy, and Lt Gen (Retd) Graeme Lamb as a key member of the team. ...
