BAFF evidence on medical care for armed forces personnel and their families
The British Armed Forces Federation submitted written evidence to the House of Commons Defence Committee inquiry on medical care for armed forces personnel and their families, which reported in 2008.
A number of BAFF members serving in a range of roles in the Defence Medical Services - including senior medical and nursing staff and combat medical technicians - contributed to our evidence. Former patients - including personnel who had suffered from PTSD-related conditions, and personnel who had been wounded on recent operations - were also consulted. We also interviewed NHS practitioners. The resulting written evidence can be viewed at either of the following links:
