The Defence Secretary Dr Liam Fox made a statement to the House of Commons on Monday 16 May 2011 on the Armed Forces Covenant.
The statement gave details of the Government's plans to publish a new version of the covenant, originally the "military covenant" with the Army in mind, now written for the first time on a tri-service basis.
