Independent staff association for regular, reserve and veteran UK armed forces personnel

Thinking of applying for redundancy? Make sure you consult!

Applying for redundancy is a difficult decision in any profession. Our advice is to do your homework, ask questions, consider all your options, and make sure that you have properly discussed it with your partner before submitting an application.

At such an unsettling time it is all too easy to think that you have consulted, based on a couple of casual conversations. Your partner may not have understood that he or she was being consulted.

Good luck! We hope you get the outcome you want.

Welcome to British Armed Forces Federation - BAFF - independent all-ranks staff association for members of any branch of the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, British Army and Royal Air Force, including the reserves. All current UK service personnel of any rank are eligible to join and, as BAFF is not a political organisation, to take an active part in its activities if they wish. Former regular or reserve forces personnel are also very welcome.
