Updated figures for the "Veterans of the LGBT Ban: Financial Recognition Scheme" are another reminder that applications close at 11:59pm on 12 December 2026.
As at 26 October:
The MoD say that 1,877 individuals had applied, up from 1,780 on 28 September;
2,540 case decisions had been made, up from 2,309; and
total payments had reached £61.916 million, an increase of £2.611 million.
(The number of decisions can exceed the number of applicants because an individual may have cases under both payment categories. The published totals do not distinguish successful decisions from rejections, so they cannot establish an award rate.)
Applications close at 11:59pm on 12 December 2026.
