News about postal votes for service voters in the EU referendum

BAFF has learned that postal ballots for the EU membership referendum on 23 June are to be sent out to service voters between 23 and 27 May "to ensure plenty of time for their votes to be counted".

Our source for this is a parliamentary answer by the Minister for Government Policy to Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP (Conservative, Berwick-upon-Tweed).

We look forward to official guidance for service voters reflecting these dates.

As in previous elections and referendums, BAFF will continue to monitor electoral arrangements for service personnel.
